In 1997, James S. Atkins, M. D. founded the Florida Ear and Balance Center because he recognized a need for specialized evaluation and treatment for those who suffer from problems of hearing, balance, dizziness, and diseases of the inner ear. Dr. Atkins is Central Florida's first board-certified neurotologist, one of only 240 nationwide.
